Christmas Fun

So, I know Christmas was a while ago. About a month ago to be exact! But I finally put all the pics from my camera onto the computer, and I'll forget what happened if I don't write it down. So this is what happened: On 12-21-08 Grandma Stevens invited us over to her house to decorate Gingerbread houses and sing carols and all that fun stuff. So there were two gingebread houses for the kids to decorate. One for the big kids and one for the little kids. The youngest on the big kid one was 5, so Eric had to go with the babies. It turned out ok, because Eric licked his fingers almost as much as the babies did! Trevor and Vanessa had a blast eating candies and putting some on the houses when mommies told them to. I stayed with Vanessa, Trevor, Eric, and Jaden the whole time, so I didn't get to see Lorien decorate. Jimmy took pictures of the whole event. After the kids cleaned up Grandma told the story about the Orange from Santa. Then we decided to go sing carols. I love to play the piano so I was nominated as the pianist. Actually I didn't ask Jair if she wanted to play! Oops. Next year Jair! Anyway, we sang and sang. Then there was a knock at the door! (It was amazing we could hear it with all that SUPER loud singing). It was Santa at the door! Lorien sat on his lap and got the gift from him. Vanessa didn't want anything to do with him. But later, Lorien said to me in hushed tones, "That wasn't the real Santa, was it." I said, "No he was his helper." After seeing so many Santas' this year, I'm surprised she still believes in him! Everyone dug into their gifts right away and found an Orange (of course) and chocolate and fishy crackers, and I think there were fruit snacks too.
