Winter Recital

Anne's Stevens' Studio just had our second recital. It was held Feb 2nd. There were 5 of my students and two of my former students. Shaly, Andrew, Lizzy, Vivi and Brandon played songs we've been working on for a couple of months, a lot from the John Thomopson series. Audrey and Adrian both boved on to a Certificate of Merit teacher at Sonoma State University. They've been studying with her since November. I have about 16 students and love to teach piano. My students have all progressed very well. Working through thier songs whether hard or easy. Though the easy ones get passed off very quickly! My piano kids are all doing very well. I hope I can keep learning more about music. There is so much I do not even know! I'd like to go back to college and get my degree in music something or other. Just to be a teacher, not a concert pianist. I know I wouldn't be able to do that! I think I will start teaching Lorien how to play now. She played a song I tought her by memory today! I was so pleased. She even held her fingers properly. Of course her posture in in prime condition since she hasn't had an opportunity to see too many of her peers slouching! I hope this finds all of you well, and I am very excited for the progress my students are experiencing. I encourage them to keep playing, even if they don't want to, or it's too hard!
